Initiation of Rural Connect Programme
We at The Dawn Publishers feel delighted to initiate the Rural Connect programme for the upliftment of underprivileged children and youth. This programme aims to equip students to develop essential skills in a holistic manner.
To understand the ground reality, we visited Arasangudi (அரசன்குடி) a village in Thiruverambur block in Tiruchirappalli district of Tamil Nadu, India. We spent two hours interacting with children, youth and elders of the village to understand their challenges and needs.
We conducted simple and beneficial activities for the students to assess their language capacity and rewarded them with appreciation and chocolates. We continued to explain about the importance of proper parenting and spending quality time with children to know their progress. We encouraged all the participants to avail the use of the village library.
We also demonstrated them on how to make use of technology in an effective way to learn. As part of our Rural Connect programme, we will continue to provide awareness and guidance for those in need.
